3 Yoga Steps to Prepare Your Body to Switch From Winters to Summers
February 6, 2017
Why Attend a Yoga Training Program this Valentine’s Day with the One You Want to Grow Old With
February 11, 2017

Many yoga enthusiasts today are successful in combining their love for this great branch of holistic wisdom from ancient India with their career and life goals, by choosing the profession of a yoga teacher. Comprehensive yoga teacher training, now available in its birth-land, India, are helping aspirants make a meaningful career set on noble goals for the world at large. However, the idea is not lacking in fun. In addition to high-brow philosophies, rigorous yogasana sessions, and intensive meditation, there is much to learn at these training programs about making classes more popular with fun inputs.

Here are some enjoyable elements you will know to incorporate in your personal yoga sessions or in lessons given as a teacher:

To Have Lots of Humor

As a motivational instructor to a group of people who might is inflicted by their own share of sorrow and worries, you must adopt an approach with humor. Instead of formal greetings in the morning, begin with a joke. Make sure to make space in between heavy lectures for a joke or two and encourage the learners to revel in more laughter than clenched fists and sealed lips. As a teacher it remains your duty to balance seriousness and lightheartedness in the class.

To Design a Theme

Remember, people come to yoga classes, not only to learn new techniques of keeping mind-body fitness but also to develop a whole new worldview. Weave your classes around messages of love, forbearance, and wisdom and take care to craft little details around the yoga space in those lines. To decorate the walls with Buddhist emblems, icons, paintings, or inscriptions might be good idea to foster the notion of universal love and kindness in the hearts of the participants.

To Encourage Uniqueness

Make your classes more about the participants than about dry theories from books or about personal gratification. Let them open up freely through subjective narrations, open exchange of thoughts and experiences through dialogue, and more opinionated participation. Build in them a confidence to showcase their own uniqueness, be it a skill of conversation, or an artistic capacity, ensure acceptance of any such quality and encourage the subject to grow with it in yoga.

To Mix Up Different Yoga Styles

Let your classes be a hotbed for yoga ideas, where many styles are brought to the table and intermixed naturally to form a comprehensive learning guide. Make sure you have a bit of everything from basic Hatha styles, Ashtanga principles, Iyengar yoga ways, nuggets of Kundalini wisdom, and yin yoga thoughts, interspersed in the curriculum set for your classes. This approach will make your classes interesting and form a strong basis for your students.
