Kundalini meditation

“Kundalini” – most of us might have heard of this word. But, only a handful of us know what it really means or signifies.

‘The invisible point of extreme power and energy located at the base of spine in a person’s body’ is the core essence of Kundalini. The art of awakening of this ‘Kundalini Energy’ gives rise to the science of ‘Kundalini’ yoga. It is a state in which a person feels extraordinary and unique from within – as if they have been transformed into a more creative, more intelligent and much powerful version of themselves. The state of Kundalini awakening has been a point of discussion and intrigue over thousands of years. It still remains inexplicable as to how can a human hoard so much power within a small point in his body and not even know about it unless it has been awakened. Some erudite termed this as a form of coiled snake which remains so still and silent as if almost invisible, unless it is awakened when it becomes the core of everything. The Kundalini yoga is one of the most beneficial and undeniably the most powerful form of science known to mankind. However, extreme power comes with both rewards and shortcomings. If this art is practiced right in a controllable state then there are unlimited rewards of this practicing this art form. However, if the practice of Kundalini yoga and Kundalini meditation is not managed well then it can damage everything that ever existed in that person – physically, mentally and spiritually. For starters, here are best five of the many benefits of Kundalini Yoga which blatantly tell us why one should practice this art form:

  • Kundalini Yoga has been as one of the most powerful methods for intense detoxification with asanas like Ardha Matseyendrasana, Adho Mukha Svanasana, Parivrtta Utkatasana, etc to name a few.
  • It has some of the most efficient asanas and pranayamas for busting intense fatigue.
  • Kundalini Yoga works on strengthening of nervous system, increases body strength, promotes overall physical fitness of a person’s body.
  • Kundalini Yoga aids in fighting emotional stress by balancing the entire nervous system of the body and awakening spiritual thoughts.
  • Regular practice of Kundalini Meditation increases focus and concentration by awakening and further aligning various chakras in the body.

If Kundalini yoga is so beneficial then why should one refrain from it?

As a limit to everything, Kundalini Yoga has its limitations too – limits to its practice which must not be meddled with.

Kundalini yoga and Kundalini Meditation practices are not meant to be conducted in a secular or an unguided state. It is a powerhouse of energy which, upon its release can be extremely hard to manage. This often results in a person losing his mental and cognitive balance which cannot be easily restored.

So, no one is really standing in your way to experiencing something so magical — which feels like an out-of-body liberated state. However, owing to its risks, you are strongly advised to practice it under the guidance of experts only.
